A MAN CLIMBS A MOUNTAIN
BECAUSE IT IS THERE
A MAN MAKES A WORK OF ART
BECAUSE IT IS NOT THERE

Carl Andre

Mountains are among the most impressive natural phenomena.

Extreme forms, which evoke just as extreme behaviours and affects in the humans, who dare to challenge the nature.

Prepare carefully.

Everything that is needed for a mountain climp has to be carried on the body.

Function is key when it comes to mountaineering clothes. What do you need to wear in order to be protected, to survive this adventure?

But be warned!

Mountaineering is not a battle against the rock as dead matter.

This mountain you wish to climb will not remain static and unchangeable. It has it‘s own will, it imposes itself upon you, shapes you and changes you. This will be a fusion rather than an appropriation. A journey were no one remains who they were before. A relationship needs to be built.

Your body clings to the stone. Gravity needs to be overcome.

Above and below dissolve into inclinations.

The body and its movements are the only reference point that is left between the breathtaking heights and the omnipresent danger of a fall. You might face your physical and mental limits. Overcome them and you will return transformed.

This collection is a journey into the mountains, a tightrope walk between human body and nature, civilization and wilderness.

A symbiosis between man and mountain.
